Holland Park school hosted its very first competitive Handball tournaments this term, with our U13 Girls and our U13 Boys team competing.
For many, this was a first opportunity to play a new sport competitively. Whilst some of our players have been attending Wednesday Handball sessions with our England coach, Andre. The U13 Girls entered the tournament to face William Perkin High School in what proved to be a closely contested game. The final score finished 18-15 to our opposition, with Maia scoring 4 and Alana scoring 5 goals. Linda also made some excellent saves to keep the opposition from scoring. Our U13 boys competed against 3 other schools in their tournament recording a 5-3 defeat and a 5-2 and 7-3 victory. Notable performances from Deniro and Abenezer who scored several of the team's goals on the way to a 2nd place finish. HPS is hosting 2 more tournaments over the next few weeks for our U15 teams. Handball club will continue on a Wednesday with Andre.
