The Year 9 football team have made some excellent progress as a team this season. Their early season performances centred around a tactical focus of being as solid as possible in their defensive play. They have taken the advice and learnt extremely well from defensive training drills and their defending as a team has improved immensely. A special mention must also go to Rocco in goal who is maturing into a very capable goalkeeper with some much improved performances recently. We currently have a focus on attacking play which is beginning to show some improvement in matches.

However, by far the biggest compliment that I can pay the year 9 football team is their attitude. They have faced some very strong teams this season and have had some difficult results. They have always stayed positive and supportive with each other and been constructive with any criticism. These are excellent attributes to have, not just for sports teams but life in general. Well done boys and keep up the hard work.
