In year applications are made directly to the school. If a place is available and there is no waiting list, the governors will offer a place to the child.
If more applications are received than there are places available, then applications will be ranked by the governing body in accordance with the school's oversubscription criteria.
If a place cannot be offered at the point of application, then you may ask for the reasons and you will be informed of your right to appeal. You will be offered the opportunity of being placed on our waiting list. This waiting list is maintained by the governing body in accordance with the oversubscription criteria and not in the chronological order in which applications are received.
Termly reviews and updates to our waiting lists are made by the school. When a place becomes available, the governing body will decide who is at the top of the relevant waiting list. In accordance with statutory requirements, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea’s Admissions Team will be notified of all applications and offers made to the school.
To apply for a place, please complete the In Year Application Form (linked below).
Please ensure that you read the Admissions Policy, proof of occupancy and guidance notes carefully. The school’s Admissions Office can be contacted on:
020 7908 1000 or by email: admissions@hollandparkschool.co.uk
Appeals
Parents/carers whose application for a place is unsuccessful, have the right to appeal the decision via an Independent Appeal Panel. This panel is completely independent of the school and the Local Authority.
If you wish to appeal, please use this link to complete your appeal online. Please do NOT use ANY other appeal form or send your form to your local authority.
It is highly recommended that you download the explanatory booklet about appeals which you should read before you complete the appeal form. Click here to read the information booklet.
You should include any evidence or supporting material with your appeal form and you MUST state the grounds of your appeal at the time you lodge your appeal form. Your appeal form will not be accepted unless you give the grounds of your appeal. You may appeal for more than one school.
Please note that the online form will ask you to download two utility bills dated in the last THREE months. If you do not have access to a scanner, please take two photographs using a mobile phone and upload the photographic files.
