Admissions

We understand that choosing the right school for your child is an incredibly important decision.

The best way to get to know Holland Park School is to come and see the school in action at one of our open events where you will have the opportunity tomeet with our staff and students, explore our state-of-the-art building and extensive gardens, sports and drama facilities.

To register for one of our open events, please click here.

If you are unable to attend our open events, please contact Olivia Hill, Assistant Principal, by email at olivia.hill@hollandparkschool.co.uk to request a visit to the school.

All admissions to Holland Park School are processed by the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea through the secondary transfer process. To apply for a place, you will need to complete the online application form. Other than those applying through Art Aptitude, there is no supplementary form for the school.

Holland Park School is significantly oversubscribed for Year 7 entry. The school generally receives at least four times as many applicants as it has places in Year 7. When vacancies arise the school admits students to all years at fixed points throughout the school year. A ‘waiting list’ is currently held for prospective students in all year groups.

If you wish to apply for a place, please contact the Royal Borough’s Admissions Team at the Town Hall. The full admission criteria can be found in the relevant year’s Admissions Policy below, and further guidance on the secondary transfer process can be found in the Royal Borough’s ‘Secondary School Brochure’.

The Pupil Admission Number (PAN) is 240.

In-Year Admissions

In-year applications are made directly to the school. If a place is available and there is no waiting list, the governing body will offer a place to the family.

If more applications are received than there are places available, then applications will be ranked in accordance with the school’s oversubscription criteria.

If a place cannot be offered at the point of application, then you may ask for the reasons and you will be informed of your right to appeal. You will be offered the opportunity of being placed on our waiting list. This waiting list is maintained by the governing body in accordance with the oversubscription criteria and not in the chronological order in which applications are received.

Termly reviews and updates to our waiting lists are made by the school. When a place becomes available, the governing body will decide who is at the top of the relevant waiting list. In accordance with statutory requirements, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea’s Admissions Team will be notified of all applications and offers made to the school.

To apply for a place please complete the In-Year Application Form. Please ensure that you read the Admissions Policy, proof of occupancy and guidance notes carefully. The school’s Admissions Officer can be contacted on 020 7908 or by email admissions@hollandparkschool.co.uk

Appeals

Parents/carers whose application for a place is unsuccessful, have the right to appeal the decision. The appeal form and guidance on the process can be obtained from the Royal Borough’s Admissions Team, which administers the appeals process on behalf of Holland Park School.
