The Maths Department took students to @ScienceMuseum to explore The Winton Gallery, which showcases stories about mathematicians' work across various fields, from salespeople to garden designers, spanning 400 years from the renaissance to today. The exhibit featured items like hand-held mathematical instruments and a 1929 experimental aircraft. Additionally, students learned about gaming development, participated in games, visited technician areas, and explored potential careers. A total of 16 students from years 7-11 competed in the London School Athletics Cross-Country Championships at Wormwood Scrubs last week against 54 other London schools. 🏃‍♀️ Our students all performed with great valour and honour, none giving up despite the mud and difficult terrain, against strong competition. We had two particularly great performances, from Leila in the Junior B Girls race (for Y7s) and from Bernard in the Junior A Boys race (for Y8 and Y9 students) who both placed in 39th position. Other notable performances came from Damon and Barney in the Intermediate Boys race and Kobi in the Junior A Boys race. The students were impeccably behaved and supported each other throughout the competition, building great school spirit!
